We believe learning should feel relevant.
YEP develops thoughtful educational content and creative resources that connect with real learners, particularly in Jamaican and Caribbean contexts.
Our work brings together educational expertise, editorial care, cultural awareness and purposeful use of emerging technologies.
Learning begins with connection.
A learner's curiosity, community, language and personal experiences can provide powerful starting points for reading and language acquisition.
Our premise is that some learners disengage from reading when available materials feel disconnected from their lives. Greater relevance may encourage participation, but relevance alone is not enough: effective learning also requires appropriately designed instruction.
YEP brings both dimensions together, developing resources that engage readers while deliberately supporting vocabulary, comprehension, language development and progression.
"Learning should connect with the learner. Technology should help make that possible." YEP · Our guiding principle
Make meaningful learning materials easier to create and access.
We work with parents, educators, institutions, authors and content creators to develop purposeful resources or teach them how to create independently.
Start with the learner
Consider what learners are interested in, what they already know and what they need to practise next.
Respect context
Value Jamaican and Caribbean experiences while creating opportunities to explore unfamiliar language and wider worlds.
Design for growth
Pair engaging narratives and attractive materials with genuine learning objectives and careful review.
Educator-informed. Creator-led.
Your Educational Partners was founded by Zoyinka Ricketts, an educator, author and educational content developer whose work brings together teaching experience, writing, developmental editing and digital resource production.
Her work includes instructional materials supporting CSEC English A writing skills and the children's book How Mela and Nin Became Bee Friends. These experiences inform YEP's practical approach to content quality, learner engagement and production.
YEP is more than a collection of AI tools. It is a professional creative and educational service grounded in the judgement of an educator and the discipline of an editor.
Classroom-informed decisions about learner needs, objectives and progression.
Attention to structure, age appropriateness, clarity and instructional integrity.
Hands-on experience in book and digital-resource development, formatting and visual assets.
Human creativity leads. AI assists.
We view AI as a practical assistant for brainstorming, differentiation, asset creation and production. It does not replace editorial judgement, knowledge of learners or an author's responsibility for their work.
Our training encourages responsible, original use of AI tools, with attention to accuracy, privacy, transparency and intellectual-property limitations.
